Udsholt Strand V. Fyrrestien

Udsholt Strand is a natural beach located in an attractive dune area with pine forest. The beach consists primarily of stones and measures approximately 300 metres long and 20 metres wide. Water depth reaches 2 metres between 50–100 metres from the shore. The dominant current direction is easterly, and western and northern winds can generate large waves.

Water

Saltwater beach (approximately 2% salinity). The beach is approximately 300 metres long and 20 metres wide. Water depth is 2 metres between 50–100 metres from the shore. The seabed is sandy with stones in the first few metres from the shore.

Location

The beach is accessed via Fyrrestien. Parking is available at the end of Fyrrestien.

Facilities

Information point, toilet, handicap toilet, trash bin, garbage sorting, parking place at the end of Fyrrestien, sampling point. No lifeguard present. No bathing bridge. No life-saving equipment.

Season

Bathing water samples are taken during the bathing season.

Water Quality

Water quality is calculated based on samples taken over the most recent four years. Bathing water samples are taken during the bathing season. Results are available at www.gribskov.dk/badevand. The beach is monitored at station number 246, DKBW number 1613.

Risks

Low risk of cyanobacteria growth in the area, though cyanobacteria may drift in from the Øresund. Only minimal growth of seaweed within the 4-metre contour. No known discharge outlets or overflow points.
